Why You Should Visit Snow Valley Mountain Resort

Snow Valley is also famed for the Snow Valley Express, Southern California’s only six-person, high-speed chairlift that debuted in the 2017/2018 season.

There is night skiing offered from 3 to 8 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. The resort has a ski and snowboard rental shop as well as a large retail sports shop, slope-side dining with a full bar and views of the mountains. There is no ski-in/ski-out lodging, but there is nearby accommodation in Running Springs and Lake Arrowhead.

Best Time to Visit Snow Valley Mountain Resort

Snow Valley Mountain Resort generally opens in early or mid-December and closes between late-March to early April. This is one of Los Angeles ’ most popular ski resorts so avoid the holidays and weekends for the least crowding.

Lift Tickets and Season Passes

Full-day, half-day and nighttime lift tickets for Snow Valley are available for purchase online and on site. Given that the resort is operating at a reduced capacity for the 2020/21 ski season, we recommend buying tickets online in advance to ensure availability.

Adult (22–64) Depending on the day of the week, full-day adult lift tickets at Snow Valley can cost between $74 and $95. Prices tend to be higher on weekends and holidays. Half-day lift tickets range from $64 to $85, and can be purchased for the morning or the afternoon. When the resort is open for night skiing, lift tickets cost between $35 and $49.

Senior (65–69) and Young Adult (13–21) Senior citizens and young adults can pay less for lift tickets at Snow Valley when they present a valid ID. Full-day lift tickets cost around $64 on weekdays, and between $79 and $85 on weekends and holidays. Half-day senior and young-adult lift tickets range from $54 to $75, while night skiing will cost between $30 and $44. Seniors over the age of 70 can ski for free.

Child (5–12) Prices for Full-day Snow Valley lift tickets for children range from $34 on weekdays to $45 on weekends and holidays. Half-day lift tickets cost anywhere from $29 to $40, while night skiing is available from $15 to $32. Kids ages 4 and under can ski for free.

If you’re bringing the whole family, consider investing in a Family Fun Pack, which includes two adult lift tickets and two child lift tickets for $169 to $199, depending on the day of the week. Family Fun Packs must be purchased online. Snow Valley Mountain Resort accepts the Anytime Snow Pass, a season pass that also grants holders access to Mountain High , Ski Cooper and Eagle Point .

Ski School

Snow Valley’s ski and snowboard school offers private and group lessons for children and adults. Make sure to reserve your spot in advance, as lesson slots tend to fill up quickly. The resort also has an adaptive snow sports program, ensuring that everyone in your group can make the most of a day on the mountain.
