Spanning five mountains and two bowls, and encompassing 1,832 skiable acres, Beaver Creek Resort is conveniently located near Avon, Colorado, two hours from Denver. Despite its high-quality facilities, Beaver Creek welcomes far fewer day-trippers than nearby Vail , meaning the slopes are often less crowded.
Beaver Creek Resort has a summit elevation of 11,440 feet with a vertical drop of 3,340 feet and sees about 325 inches of snowfall annually. There are 150 trails at Beaver Creek, the longest of these is the 2.75-mile Centennial. Trails are accessed by 24 lifts, including 11 high-speed quads, one triple chairlift, one double chairlift, two gondolas and one hybrid lift, as well as eight magic carpets. As well as the trails across five mountains – Grouse Mountain, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead Mountain – and the Rose Bowl and Larkspur Bowl, The Beaver Creek Resort includes three terrain parks. There is no night skiing at Beaver Creek Resort, but there is a tubing park, an ice skating rink, dog sledding and a Nordic ski center.
Beaver Creek Resort has a ski and snowboard school and a renowned kids’ program taught by 600 top instructors. Private and group lessons for adults are available, and private mountain guides can be hired for a group of up to five adults. There are also workshops and programs available for teens and women. The season at Beaver Creek Resort generally runs from late November to mid-April. February and March are usually the best months to ski here, as the snow pack is formed for the season and fresh powder is most prolific.

Beaver Creek Resort is made up of three villages – the main Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead. The Osprey at Beaver Creek, located just a few steps from the Strawberry Park lift in Beaver Creek Village, has a fitness center, a hot tub and a sauna, with the Osprey Fireside Grill providing breakfast, lunch and dinner services every day. In Bachelor Gulch, The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch has an on-site spa, hot tub and sauna, as well as onsite dining from celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck at the restaurant Spago. In Arrowhead, there are a collection of nine condos that include townhomes and smaller units, just a few steps from the Arrow Bahn Express lift. Reservations made for stays between December 21, 2018 and March 31, 2019 will include two complimentary breakfasts at the Broken Arrow restaurant.
The Beaver Creek Resort has a range of dining options. A trip to Allie’s Cabin, includes a sleigh ride to a cozy cabin, followed by a five course wine-tasting dinner by a crackling fire with regional cuisine and a fireworks display. In the Beaver Creek Park Hyatt, the 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill specializes in local, organic cuisine with a showpiece grill in an open kitchen, along with Colorado craft beers and a selection of wine and spirits.
By air, the closest airport to Beaver Creek Resort is Eagle County Regional Airport, about 30 minutes east. The resort is a two-hour drive west of Denver International Airport. There are car rental counters at both airports and regular shuttle service via the Colorado Mountain Express.
Once here there is regular shuttle service between the resort villages. For wider travel in the area, the Town of Avon buses have a regular schedule to Beaver Creek Village. There is also the ECO buses that provide service to Vail, Eagle-Vail, Edwards and Gypsum. There are also two taxi services and a limo service that service Beaver Creek Resort.
